The Surprise Package

I ordered some small things (power converters and such) on Amazon and was expecting them to be delivered today. And in a very this-is-what's-wrong-with-kids-today move, instead of getting up to the look outside the door, I simply checked my tracking number on UPS.

The following video is a fairly accurate reenactment of what took place:

My mind was filled with the wonder of possibility as I imagined what weird chain of shipping mistakes could have led to this package filled with awesome stuff to my doorstep.  Mmhmm...copies of Starcraft 2 and...that bacon that doesn't need to be refrigerated.  Fifty pounds of it too.

Unfortunately...I had actually been expecting this package.  It was Dane's suitcase that her mom sent to me in order for me to bring it to her.  I'm assuming it's filled with winter clothing...and not a single copy of Starcraft.

Oh well.

Should be coming down to Sarasota sometime in the next few days!  Hope to see you there.

  2. HAHA This blog is so awesome, so better than mine! We're going to have to do matching blog posts, correspond through our blogs, maybe have a blogwar.

Gah, now I'm thinking I should have put my blog on blogspot since now both you and Mary have ones here. Meh.

And yeah, I try to convince myself that I'm a good packer, and for a while there I was, but when you Skype-pack something with your mother it gets pretty hard to differentiate what you do and don't need:
me: "I really don't know if I need that purple floor length satin gown..."
mom: "what if you have a party?"
Me: "Oh, yeah! Well in that case..."

Also, I actually did take non-refrigerated bacon with me to China last year, no joke.
